I read in newspaper reports that President Gloria Arroyo of the Philippines is going to get rid of the members of a Muslim separatist group, Moro Islamic Liberation Front who beheads 14 Marines. In fact, battalions of these Marines and other military units are now in Basilan, one of the strongholds of MILF. Oh my, I am afraid of a civil war that may erupt in the Philippines soon.

Truth is, the Filipino people will suffer again, i'm sure this would affect the economy. For now, I think, the president must dig deeper first in their investigation before this planned attack on MILF-identified camps will be made.Until now i am still suspecting that there was a sabotage in the beheading of the Marines to create a scenario of chaos in the country, and to justify the passage of anti-terror law in the Philippines.

I hope and pray, that this imminent war between the government and the MILF, will be ironed out before erupting into a full-lown war. The Filipinos are more than hungry for developments - and not for war.
